Sod installation · Fargo-Moorhead

Fresh sod, clean edges, and a lawn that looks finished fast.

Perfect Turf installs sod for new lawns, damaged sections, curbside repairs, landscape projects, and yards that need a clean reset without waiting all season for seed to fill in.

What we install

Sod for bare yards, patch repairs, and full lawn resets.

We handle the details that make sod look natural after it roots in: clean prep, tight seams, smooth transitions at sidewalks and driveways, trimmed edges around beds, and clear care instructions so the new turf gets the water it needs.

How the process works

We quote the prep, not just the square footage.

Sod is only as good as the surface underneath it. Before quoting, we look at access, grading, soil condition, old turf removal, edging, watering setup, and whether the project needs spot repair or a fuller reset.

Walk the yard

We check the area, access, measurements, and what prep needs to happen first.

Prep the base

Old turf, debris, and uneven spots are addressed before sod goes down.

Install cleanly

Fresh sod is laid with tight seams, clean cuts, and careful edges.

Care plan

You get straightforward watering guidance for the first days and weeks.

Before, during, and after: what your sod project can look like.

These photos show the kind of transformation customers can expect from Perfect Turf: an overgrown or uneven yard, the prep work that happens before sod goes down, and the clean finished lawn after install and watering.

01

Before: rough grass, weeds, and uneven areas

We start by looking at the full yard, not just the square footage. Overgrown grass, thin patches, construction damage, uneven areas, and sidewalk edges all affect the prep needed for sod to root in cleanly.

During: grading, soil prep, and clean edges

The finished lawn depends on the base underneath. We remove problem growth, smooth and loosen the soil, clean up edges near concrete and beds, and get the surface ready before fresh sod is laid.

After: fresh sod, clean seams, and watering guidance

Once the sod is installed, we focus on tight seams, trimmed edges, and cleanup so the yard looks finished right away. We also explain how to water it during the first days and weeks so the new lawn has the best chance to root.
